The Luiza Zan BJC concert returns to Budapest Jazz Club on 20 June 2026 for a memorable evening of contemporary jazz, swing, funk and bossa nova. Romanian jazz vocalist Luiza Zan joins acclaimed Hungarian guitarist István Gyárfás and his trio for a special live performance in Budapest.
Recognized as one of the most original jazz singers in Europe, Luiza Zan combines jazz improvisation, rhythm & blues influences and Brazilian groove into a unique artistic style. The Luiza Zan BJC concert offers audiences a sophisticated and emotional jazz experience filled with spontaneity and musical dialogue.
Luiza Zan gained international recognition after receiving second prize at the prestigious Montreux Jazz Festival Jazz Voice Competition in 2004. Since then, she has performed on important European stages and jazz festivals, captivating audiences with her expressive voice and charismatic stage presence.
István Gyárfás Trio Live in Budapest
At the Luiza Zan BJC concert, guitarist István Gyárfás brings his elegant modern swing style inspired by legendary jazz guitarist Wes Montgomery. His refined melodic sense and virtuosity have made him one of the leading jazz guitarists in Hungary.
The trio also features:
